I read that quote in the Fifth Spot on the Bicycle Retailer and Industry News web site today. He was one of the great ones in my eyes, old Hunter S. (aka Doctor Gonzo, Raul Duke, et al). There was no one like him before he came along, but in is wake were swimming many, like myself, who tried to capture his raw, real, in medias res journalistic style. Don't like him? Looks like we're on pace to have another glorious week of weather, which we totally deserve after this winter. Our old friend Tanya is in town for the next couple of days from Seattle. Hopefully, she brought good coffee, but then she always does so we don't need to ask.

There is talk of a Blue Mounds mountain ride this weekend, and I cannot wait...

Loooong Weekend

There is holiday weekends, and then there are weekends like this past one....70-80 miles in the saddle over a couple of rides, cooking out with good friends, perfect weather, NCAA D1 mens lacrosse championships, hours of yard work, bonfires, sleeping in. Sure wanted it to go on forever. Capped off with MOTAB last night. Welcome back to the work week.
