We Just Work Here

Just got a copy of this Brian Vernor movie that I've been itching to see. Looks like it's going to be a good night to sit near the swamp cooler drink some frosty beverages and watch this one.

shirts

EO and I screened a bunch of new PDW shirts in the last week. We had help from many along the way, but our hand ultimately pulled the ink through the screen. Over and over again. With time to let your mind wander you think about all kinds of things. For me, it was a time to reflect on favorite shirts I've seen and owned. I know it is a topic I've discussed here before, but I'm gonna touch on it again.
As the years go by, most shirts come and go. But a few have been stashed, only to be worn for special occasions, or when the mood strikes. Some were free, some cost more than I'm willing to admit. So, of all of them, what is my favorite shirt? Easy answer, the above SBB shirt from circa 01? Yep, kind of captured an era for me...I'll never find another one, and it always gets a look from strangers.

Also

Just read through this one too. Got a grip of Louis L'Amour books at an estate sale for 25 cents each. Love 'em. Always have. Hondo, The Quick and the Dead, How The West Was Won, etc.

Reading Summer

Borrowed "fugitives and refugees" by Chuck Palahniuk from EO on Sunday, basically read it all last night. Great read for anyone visiting or moving to Portland. Man, I'm binging on books this summer. Read three this week...working on two others. Nice to sit and read in the evenings.

'Merica Day

In order:

Friday, rode about 50 miles around the Portland area. Highlight was picking several pounds of tasty berries out on Sauvie Island.
Saturday, took dogs up to snow line on Mt. Hood to hike around. 90 degrees with snow on the ground. Crazy fun.
Sunday, chilling out. Did some cleaning, removed a bush so we can have space for a compost bin.
Yep, summer is here.
