MSNBC is reporting that some Roman Catholics in the Detroit metro area are upset that the Tiger home opener against the Texas Rangers is during holy hours on Good Friday next month. Seriously? Being a Catholic and a Tiger fan, I gotta tell you: Let them boys get to playing some ball. For real.
Then again, maybe they are hoping for a little help from the big guy up stairs. I hear St. Peter is a pretty good clutch hitter.
